Kristen Zimmerman, she/they, is committed to bringing about a world that recognizes our fundamental interdependence. As an artist-storyteller, movement maker, strategist and facilitator she helps people open to new ways of thinking and being, align around purpose and move towards action. She has three decades’ experience as an innovator who launches and nurtures groundbreaking work in social transformation and is a co-founder of projects including Root. Rise. Pollinate!, Movement Strategy Center, Community LORE, Youth in Focus, and Decolonize Race. She is an advocate and facilitator for disability pride, inclusion and awareness in schools and public education. She loves being a queer mama, community weaver, and training in zen buddhism and land-based practices. She is currently an MFA candidate in Comics at the California College of Arts in San Francisco and working on a series of graphic novels about finding, repairing and cultivating home.
